Penton Media Group is proudly celebrating 30 years as Northern Ireland’s leading independent magazine, exhibitions and events company, and we’re growing again.
Join a Small, Ambitious Media Team… You’ll be part of a close-knit team where collaboration is key. In this role, you’ll work directly alongside the Editor of Licensed & Catering News (LCN), shaping and growing one of the industry’s most respected brands. Our media platforms include digital magazines, weekly e-newsletters and Gala Awards Dinners, giving you a wide range of assets to sell and develop.
We are now recruiting a Brand Sales Manager for Licensed & Catering News (est. 1940), the leading business magazine for the Hospitality Industry and the authoritative voice of the trade. This is a hands-on, exciting position with lots of room to grow, ideal for someone energetic, ambitious and ready to build their career in media.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Digital magazine
- Online and website revenue
- Awards sponsorship packages
You will:
- Take ownership of annual advertising and sponsorship targets
- Drive revenue across digital, print and events
- Seek out new business opportunities in core and emerging markets
- Build strong relationships with clients and partners
- Produce standout proposals and client communications
- Bring creative commercial ideas to the table
- Deliver confident client presentations
- Contribute to Penton Media Group’s wider business strategy
- Stay tuned into media, advertising and business trends
- Sell over the phone and face-to-face
- Support, motivate and coach members of the wider sales team
Because this role involves regular client meetings, industry events and off-site visits, a full driving licence is essential.
What You’ll Bring- 3+ years’ experience in media sales or a fast-paced direct sales environment
- A proven track record in new business development
- Strong presentation and reporting skills
- An enthusiastic, proactive and creative approach
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- A drive to grow, learn and progress quickly
