Account Manager - Account Growth Focus
Do you thrive on developing long-term client relationships and turning existing accounts into high-growth partnerships?
We are working with my client to hire an Account Manager whose primary focus will be on growing and expanding existing customer accounts
. This role is ideal for someone commercially minded, relationship-driven, and motivated by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities while delivering genuine value to clients.
As Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of existing clients, acting as their main point of contact and trusted advisor. Your success will be measured by account growth, retention, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing client accounts, with a clear focus on revenue expansion
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding client needs, challenges, and future plans
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Conduct regular account reviews and performance check-ins
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, delivery, product, and support) to ensure seamless client experience
- Track account performance against targets and report on growth metrics
- Proactively address risks to retention and identify opportunities to add further value
- Proven experience as an Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar role
- Demonstrated success in growing existing accounts rather than pure new business sales
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Comfortable working with targets and revenue goals
- Highly organised, proactive, and client-focused
