Retail & Admissions Supervisor HMS Belfast Role responsibilities
- Supporting the Retail and Admissions Manager and Deputy Manager in all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the operation at HMS Belfast.
- Welcoming visitors to the museum, providing them with detailed information and consistently delivering the highest standards of customer service.
- Achieving sales targets – approaching visitors and actively selling a wide range of products.
- Ensuring every retail and admissions assistant delivers exceptional customer service and hits team and individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- A passion for customer service and helping others.
- Financial, market and product awareness.
- Leadership and teamwork skills encouraging all team members to work collaboratively.
- Good application of judgement and initiative to deal with queries and problems.
- Educated to GCSE Level (A–C grade).
- Proven experience of working in a ticketing environment in a busy tourist attraction/museum/gallery.
- Proven experience of working in a retail environment in a busy tourist attraction/museum/gallery.
- Experience of staff management for mid to large level teams.
- Confidence and ability to proactively sell in very busy environments and exceed targets.
- Proficient user of EPOS and IT, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good visual merchandising skills and excellent product knowledge.
- An interest in the history of Twentieth Century conflict.
