. We are looking for a motivated manager to lead our retail shop and support the Shop Manager in delivering excellent customer service.

Role Purpose

You will be responsible for the shop and its team in the absence of the Shop Manager, operating and running the shop effectively. Your day‑to‑day duties include ensuring high standards, accepting and paying out bets, and delivering excellent customer service. You will also manage the shop’s opening and closing procedures and overall operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Shop Manager with the daily running of the shop and its team.
  • Lead operations in the absence of the Shop Manager, including opening and closing the shop, guiding the team, and overseeing cash management procedures.
  • Maintain and manage the Time and Attendance system to ensure team adherence.
  • Drive shop presentation standards by leading by example and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Communicate clearly, encouraging team members to share ideas for process improvement.
  • Focus on shop results, identifying opportunities and motivating the team to achieve high standards.
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences and educate the team to provide excellent service.
  • Accept and process customer bets accurately across all channels, including betting terminals and the EPOS system.
  • Act as a Brand Ambassador, introducing customers to multi‑channel/digital offerings.
  • Ensure the shop complies with all operational, cash management, security, and social responsibility procedures.

Desirable Skills and Experience
  • At least one year of Assistant Manager or Supervisor experience in retail.
  • Industry experience welcomed but not essential; full training will be provided.
