The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join its exceptional opening team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Belfast’s most anticipated boutique hotel openings.

With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast for our guests, delivering each dish to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency. Working in accordance with the specifications and systems established by the Head Chef, you will ensure that all breakfasts are prepared to exacting standards. You will also uphold full compliance with all Health and Safety and food hygiene regulations, adhering strictly to the hotel’s established procedures and policies at all times.
- Ensure all ordering is completed for the breakfast kitchen.
- Support the Head Chef in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the kitchen.
- Prepare breakfasts to the highest standard whilst keeping the guests’ expectations at the forefront of your mind.
- Keep your mise en place levels up to the required level whilst rotating stock.
- Be mindful of waste, always seek help to utilise all food and minimise waste.
- Report any faults or defects as you see them.
- Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practices.
- Ensure that you are correctly dressed in uniform.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments across the hotel.
- To train, where necessary, any chefs in the breakfast service kitchen.
- Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a earliest similar chef role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes to consistent standards.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently during busy morning service periods.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations.
