Assembly Operatives

Would you like to work 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday)? Receiving a competitive hourly rate and additional benefits? We're looking for experienced Assembly Operatives to work at Caterpillar’s world class manufacturing plant in the Springvale Business Park, Belfast.

Hours of work:
Day

Shift: Mon: 7.00am- 5.15pm, Tuesday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:45pm. Night

Shift: Monday: 8:15pm - 6:30pm. Tuesday - Thursday: 8:45pm - 6:30am. All roles work a rotational shift pattern - 2 weeks on day shift and 2 weeks on night shift.

Day Shift - £14.27 per hour. Night Shift - £19.03 per hour. Overtime - £21.41 (first ten hours). Overtime - £28.54 per hour. (after ten hours overtime).

• Assembling axles and transmissions.
• Working from standard work instructions to produce components.
• Performing routine functionality tests and analysing malfunctions and making repairs.
• Assist in the calibration and repair of measuring equipment and input data into pre-developed databases for record collection analysis and reporting.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
• Any other appropriate duties.

• Previous experience in a similar environment.
• The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions.
• The ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties of the position.
• The ability to use hand tools, power tools, checking or testing equipment and to be able to read and interpret drawings - preferred.
• Working at heights may be necessary.
• Reasonable level of computer literacy where required.
