East Belfast (1 post); and North Belfast (1 post).

If you are appointed to the role, you will be responsible to the Open Spaces and Street Scene (OSS) Supervisor or another appropriate officer for the inspection of playgrounds, play equipment, outdoor gym equipment, Multi Use Games Areas (MUGA’s), parks furniture, and surfaces.
You will also be required to undertake horticultural, minor repair and litter collection duties associated with these facilities to ensure they are maintained to set quality and health and safety standards.
About the departmentWith over 1,400 staff the City and Neighbourhood Services Department delivers frontline services essential to the daily lives of Belfast residents. This includes:
- Open Space & Street Scene– Managing parks, green spaces, and street cleansing operations.
- Neighbourhood Development & Regeneration– Overseeing community centres, health and wellbeing initiatives, active living, and community safety.
- Regulatory & City Services– Providing environmental health services, dog and pest control, port health, emergency planning, and bereavement services.
- Strategic Waste Management– Leading waste collection, recycling, and fleet management.
