The Role:

As a successful R&D Tax Manager, you will have the following duties:

• Manage a client portfolio from onboarding through review, ensuring smooth workflow and timely job completion.
• Lead the team through the R&D process, maintaining quality standards, meeting deadlines, and supporting junior staff development.
• Conduct client interviews, improve their record‑keeping practices, prepare high‑quality reports, and handle HMRC enquiries.
• Organise and deliver educational seminars (in person or via Teams) and contribute to business development.

The Person :

The successful R&D Tax Manager will meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience in R&D tax relief with strong, clear report‑writing skills.
• Confident in client‑facing work and knowledgeable on current legislation and case law.
• Experienced in team collaboration and staff management, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Open to applicants at Senior level and those from both large and boutique firms.
