Microsoft Partner Manager (Alliance & Growth)

I’m recruiting for a Microsoft-First MSP and a Microsoft MISA Partner (one of only a handful in the UK). They help customers unlock more value from Microsoft across Modern Work, Azure, Power Platform and Managed Security.
Security is a big part of the story too, they’re positioned as a trusted Microsoft security collaborator, with a managed SOC approach using Microsoft Sentinel for real-time threat detection and Microsoft Defender XDR for breach containment.
They’re also pushing hard on AI outcomes (including Copilot) — less “AI theatre”, more practical implementation and impact.
Why the role existsTheir Microsoft relationship is central to growth, and they want someone to own the alliance end-to-end, deepen executive alignment, and turn Microsoft priorities into measurable pipeline, revenue, margin and market visibility across UK SME & corporate segments.
What you’ll be doing1) Strategic alliance leadership
- Build and execute the Microsoft alliance strategy aligned to business growth goals
- Map Microsoft sales plays to propositions across Modern Work, Azure, Power Platform and Security
- Create an exec engagement framework and governance rhythm (QBRs, scorecards, plans-on-a-page)
- Own senior relationships across Microsoft UK
- Act as the senior advocate in the Microsoft ecosystem
- Ensure the business is clearly understood and consistently championed
- Maximise Microsoft programmes and funding (e.g., CPOR, PAL, MCI, COOP and others)
- Improve rebate/incentive performance through tight tracking and cross-functional execution
- Own the exec-level scorecard for revenue, margin, pipeline and improvement initiatives
- Convert Microsoft alignment into real pipeline via Sales, Marketing and Propositions
- Strengthen co-sell motion, win-wire presence and marketplace positioning
- Identify ecosystem-led growth opportunities and lead plans to land them
- Support and accelerate the Microsoft AI agenda (including Copilot)
- Keep ahead of evolving Microsoft priorities and translate them into action internally
- Enable internal teams on Microsoft plays, programmes, licensing motions and “how Microsoft really works”
- Track licensing/incentives/competitive shifts and feed insight into leadership decisions
exec alignment, Microsoft-led pipeline/revenue growth, funding optimisation, customer acquisition/retention tied to Microsoft, and ecosystem visibility.
Your skills and experience- Proven experience in Microsoft alliance/partner/channel management; MSP/SI/ISV/distributor
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft partner programmes, incentives, Partner Center, and commercial mechanics
- Track record turning partnerships into pipeline, revenue, margin and funding outcomes
- Comfortable influencing at exec level (internally and with Microsoft stakeholders)
- Able to operate cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Propositions and Leadership
- Exposure to Microsoft security motions (e.g., Sentinel / Defender) or SOC-led go-to-market
- Experience supporting AI adoption programmes (Copilot or broader Microsoft AI)
- Background spanning both SME and corporate segments
