Position: Business Analyst Based

The Business Analyst will support the business in delivering process change and defining clear, high‑quality requirements for new and existing technology solutions. Act as the link between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams.

Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis & Process Improvement
    • Engage with business end users across a large organisation to gather, analyse, and document requirements.
    • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and process reviews to identify improvements and define future‑state processes.
    • Produce clear business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
    • Support creation of process maps, data requirements, and solution options.
    • Ensure requirements are understood, testable, and traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Functional & Systems Analysis
    • Translate business requirements into system specifications for engineering, QA, and architecture teams.
    • Support design, configuration, and integration of a broad range of business applications.
    • Work with QA teams to support UAT, create test scenarios, and validate delivered functionality.
    • Maintain documentation across the SDLC and ensure alignment with IT governance standards.
  • Delivery & Transformation
    • Contribute to large-scale IT implementations or transformation programmes.
    • Work effectively across Agile and Waterfall delivery models, participating in ceremonies, planning, and reviews.
    • Support readiness activities: training, comms, change impact analysis, and cutover planning.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and IT governance standards.
Essential Skills
  • Broad technical understanding of:
    • Agile delivery & SDLC
    • IT infrastructure & environments
    • Databases & data models
    • Cloud concepts (Azure/AWS/GCP)
    • Cybersecurity fundamentals
    • Data Protection (e.g., GDPR)
    • IT Governance & controls
Experience
  • Experience in IT business analysis or business transformation/change roles.
  • Proven experience liaising with end users and stakeholders across large organisations.
  • Experience turning business needs into system requirements, and working closely with technical teams.
  • Prior involvement in a large IT implementation or transformation programme.
  • Experience working with and supporting a variety of business applications.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
