The Associate Product Analyst is a vital team member who supports the billing product development team through data analysis, SQL‑driven insights, and compelling data visualisation. This role requires natural curiosity and comfort working with large, complex datasets to uncover trends, identify billing anomalies, and drive product improvements. You will transform raw billing data into actionable insights that shape product strategy for AFS’s billing platform serving over 20 million end customers.

• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse billing transaction data across multiple database systems.
• Analyse large‑scale datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, trends, and system performance issues.
• Design and build interactive dashboards using Looker/Power
  
  BI to visualise metrics, revenue trends, and product performance.
• Create executive‑level presentations translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior management.
• Develop self‑service reporting tools enabling product managers and operations to access billing metrics independently.
• Present data‑driven recommendations to cross‑functional stakeholders including product, finance, and engineering teams.

• Document data requirements for new features and enhancements.
• Participate in user acceptance testing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience writing SQL for data analysis.
• Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Experience in fintech, billing systems, or financial services.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum product development environments.
• Understanding of billing concepts (invoicing, payment processing, reconciliation, revenue recognition).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query).
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.

• Data analysis and trend identification.

• Statistical analysis and anomaly detection.

• SQL:
  Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or similar RDBMS.
• Data visualisation:
  Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.

• Build clear, compelling data visualisations.

• Manage multiple concurrent analyses.
• Prioritise based on business impact.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

• Looker or Power BI.
• Excel / Google Sheets.
• Big Query for data warehousing and large‑scale analytics.
• Cloud SQL for transactional billing data.
• Google Cloud Storage for data exports and file sharing.
