QA Test Analyst The Role
We are on the market to hire a QA Test Analyst to join a leading Belfast-based IT Development Team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of internally developed applications, as well as supporting testing activities across wider IT initiatives and business transformation projects. You will work closely with developers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, comply with standards, and deliver a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements
- Perform manual and automated testing across web, cloud, desktop, and integrated systems
- Identify opportunities to improve and reuse test automation
- Log, manage, and triage defects, working collaboratively to prioritise, retest, and resolve issues
- Plan and execute package and build testing
, from pilot phases through to firmwide deployment - Support change governance processes
, including preparing test evidence and attending TAB/CAB forums - Coordinate with End-User Computing and Communications teams on release readiness and deployment scheduling
- Carry out system integration testing to validate data flows and automation between platforms
- Perform regression, performance, and security testing where required
- Produce and maintain clear testing documentation and reports
- Support troubleshooting of production issues and validate fixes
- Proven experience as a QA Test Analyst / QA Engineer or similar role
- Experience of testing within complex IT environments
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Micro Focus UFT, Selenium)
- Experience using collaboration and test management tools such as Azure Dev Ops or Jira
- Good understanding of web technologies and desktop applications
, particularly within the Microsoft Windows and Office 365 ecosystem - Knowledge of legal-sector applications is advantageous
- Scripting or programming skills (e.g. C#, Python
) are desirable - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive, quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing technical environment
