Job Title: HR Data Analyst

Location: Belfast, Hybrid

Salary: Negotiable

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours, with flexible start/finish)

Summary

VANRATH has partnered with a respected organisation to recruit a HR Data Analyst to support its people and workforce analytics function. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with experience in workforce analytics who can turn complex datasets into actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.

What do you need?
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with workforce or people-related data, with a sound understanding of HR or organisational processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining data reports, dashboards, or similar solutions.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with database query languages (e.g., SQL) and automation tools is desirable.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and data protection regulations.
What you will do each day
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual presentations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of workforce data by identifying and resolving data quality issues.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc analytics outputs to meet business requirements.
  • Continuously review and improve reporting and dashboard solutions to enhance clarity, usability, and relevance.
  • Provide guidance on data management practices and support colleagues in maintaining reliable and secure data.
  • Present findings in a visually engaging format, using data storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and contribute to strategic initiatives through proactive data analysis and reporting.
