Test Consultant (Workday Product Incubator)

Location:

Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom

Kainos is looking for a Test Consultant to join our new product innovation team. In this role you will develop and execute functional automated and manual tests to support the delivery of new Workday‑centric products that meet user needs and comply with high quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing requirements and objectives.
  • Develop test cases and scripts based on specifications and requirements.
  • Execute test cases and document results, prioritising defects for resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members.
Minimum (Essential) Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing.
  • Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable Skills
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification.
  • Experience using JIRA Software for test case management and defect tracking.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cucumber.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience in automated testing.
