Job Summary

Dev Ops Engineer at (PA Consulting) based in Belfast, United Kingdom
. Full‑time role with hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in the office or on client site). This position is part of our Digital & Data community, driving business transformations through strategic insights and agile engineering at internet scale.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable, high‑performance applications using AWS, Azure, GCP and container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, Open Shift.
  • Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, Git, SVN, Cloud‑Formation, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Code Pipeline, Azure Stack.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, monitoring and alerting for production services, using stacks such as TICK, ELK, Splunk, Cloud Watch.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to solve client problems and deliver internal projects in an agile environment.
  • Mentor and coach client teams, support enablement and provide technical leadership on Dev Ops practices.
  • Ensure high availability, business continuity and disaster recovery for cloud services; deploy serverless functions (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, Azure Functions).
  • Work with operating systems and application servers (Linux, Tomcat, JBoss, Windows Server, IIS) to provision and configure virtual machines.
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP; familiarity with Azure Stack.
  • Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating build orchestration.
  • Proficiency with container orchestration and microservices (Kubernetes, Docker, Open Shift).
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (TICK Stack, ELK Stack, Splunk, Cloud Watch).
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and networking, including storage, firewall and network configuration.
  • Experience with high availability, business continuity and disaster recovery strategies in the cloud.
  • Deploying serverless functions (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, Azure Functions).
  • Working knowledge of operating systems and CLI experience; deploy and configure application or web servers on VMs (Linux, Tomcat, JBoss, Windows Server, IIS).

Working Conditions

Hybrid working at 4th Floor, Printworks, 35‑39 Queen Street, Belfast, BT1 6EA
, United Kingdom. Minimum two days per week in the office or on client site; flexibility for up to five days on client site depending on assignment.
