You will report to the Director of Human Resources and be responsible for: leading and managing the development and delivery of strategic HR services including strategic workforce planning; employability and skills; learning & development including elected member development; equality, diversity & inclusion; and health and wellbeing.
You will deputise for the Director of Human Resources, as and when required, within your sphere of responsibility.
You will assist and support the Director of Human Resources to lead a strong delivery-focused team and the delivery of a quality service across the organisation.
You will manage and monitor allocated Human Resource (HR) projects to ensure effective and efficient completion to agreed standards and work with managers and stakeholders to meet and deliver corporate priorities.
You will provide professional guidance and support to the organisation’s leadership team, Elected Members and other senior officers, advising on issues with significant and strategic implications and attending CMT sessions as required.
You will lead in the development of, and ensure the implementation of the department's annual objectives and work programmes and make a high-level contribution to the management of the senior management team.
