Opportunity – Organisational Effectiveness Partner (HR Team).
Summary:
Abacus is recruiting for a leading financial institution who wish to hire an Organisational Effectiveness Partner to join the Human Resources team in Belfast. FocusYou will be a curious person who will actively be involved in managing projects and initiatives such as:
- Map skills across the workforce (what people can do, and at what level)
- Use skills data to decide who does what work (projects, roles, problem-solving)
- Focus learning on closing skill gaps linked to business goals and strategy
- Promote internal mobility (moving people based on skills match, not just department)
- Builds teams around capability needs rather than fixed org charts.
This is important to the company because, it helps with:
- Managing talent plans and shortages (especially data, cyber, AML, risk, cloud)
- Faster delivery of change and transformation work
- Better resourcing decisions (less “who’s available?” and more “who has the right skills?”)
- Workforce planning based on capability gaps, not headcount only.
- Leading the design and delivery of Strategic Workforce Planning across the business
- Turning workforce data into insight and helping leaders make informed decisions
- Creating practical frameworks and processes that support long-term workforce planning
- Building demand/supply models to support workforce sizing, shaping and future skills planning
- Working across teams to create one joined-up plan and get senior stakeholders on board
- Project managing improvements such as automation of workforce reporting and trend dashboards
- Supporting wider people projects linked to change, future skills and business readiness
- Bringing in market insight and best practice to keep our approach fresh and effective.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Strong knowledge of workforce planning tools and techniques
- Experience delivering senior-level people projects (end-to-end, from concept to implementation)
- Confidence using project management tools/methodologies to drive delivery and track progress
- The ability to interpret workforce data and make clear, fact-based recommendations
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders
, including gaining buy-in for change - A track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams and building strong relationships
- A good understanding of future skills trends and what organisations need to stay competitive
- A curious and agile person who can work and research with autonomy but also be open and engaging with people at all levels. Enthusiastically consider options and solutions, provide firm and clear recommendations and be willing to experiment and learn with workforce planning and models.
