Our client, a leading organisation based in Derry, is seeking an HR Assistant to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.

The Role

As HR Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the HR Manager and wider leadership team. You’ll assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle administration while ensuring all HR processes run smoothly and confidentially. This is a hands‑on role that offers fantastic exposure to all areas of HR, with a clear pathway for progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support across all HR activities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with recruitment, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, and liaising with candidates.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing contracts, completing Right to Work checks, and coordinating new starter documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare HR correspondence and assist with performance reviews, probation meetings, and other employee lifecycle events.
  • Produce HR reports and support managers with employee information when required.
  • Act as note‑taker during employee relations meetings such as investigations or disciplinaries.
  • Manage annual leave records and support general HR projects and process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
  • HR or relevant degree, or CIPD qualification
  • Proven experience in an HR role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience using HR systems
