Public Appointment Competition for two Non-Executive Members (1x Finance and 1 x Lay), to the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service
The Department of Health is seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Members (1x Finance and 1x Lay), to the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service (NIBTS). This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people in Northern Ireland.For this competition, applications from women are especially welcome as they are currently under-represented on the NIBTS Board.
About the NIBTS:
NIBTS exists to supply the needs of all hospitals and clinical units in the province with safe and effective blood and blood products and other related services. The discharge of this function includes a commitment to the care and welfare of voluntary donors.
NIBTS is an independent Special Agency of the Department and is responsible for the collection, testing and distribution of over 55,000 blood donations each year.
Applicants for these positions must on their application form, and if invited for interview, meet the following essential criteria:
Strategic Thinking, Corporate Governance and Accountability and Working Together. Applicants for the Non-Executive Finance position must in addition meet the following essential criterion:
Financial Management.
