Locum Occupational Therapist – Community - South Wales

Vivid Healthcare are currently seeking an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to support a community-based service in South Wales . This role is primarily community focused, working with individuals in their own homes to promote independence and safe discharge planning.

The Role The postholder will carry out a wide range of occupational therapy assessments and interventions, supporting service users with varying needs in the community. The role also includes participation in a Duty rota one day per week .

Key Responsibilities Undertake holistic OT assessments and interventions within patients’ homes Assess for and recommend assistive equipment, minor and major adaptations Complete manual handling and postural seating assessments Support safe discharge planning and ongoing community rehabilitation Liaise effectively with MDT colleagues, service users and families Participate in the weekly Duty rota Requirements Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration Ideally previous experience working in a community setting Strong knowledge of manual handling , postural seating , and assistive aids/adaptations

Experience with or understanding of major home adaptations Ability to work independently and manage a community caseload This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with community experience looking for a flexible locum role in South Wales.
