Chemotherapy Nurse

By joining us a ‘Chemotherapy Nurse’ you will not only be delivering high quality care but will be the face of Sciensus with increased job satisfaction by providing holistic one-to-one care within the patient’s own home. You will be part of an ambitious team, empowering each patient by offering personalised support. Whilst based in Belfast, this position will see you travelling throughout the whole of Northern Ireland.

You will administer a range of haematological and solid tumour chemotherapy treatments, as defined in the patient’s care plan while sustaining professional standards and documenting all data. The care you provide will be tailored to the patient’s individual needs, enabling you to build long‑lasting relationships with the patient, their families and multi‑disciplinary teams.

A full UK driving licence is essential as regional travel will be required to visit patients at home.

Requirements
  • Registered nurse with competence in chemotherapy care.
  • Hold a SACT qualification to administer chemotherapy treatments.
  • Community experience or willingness to travel and work autonomously within the region.
  • Confidence in clinical assessments.
  • Venepuncture (training can be provided).
  • Cannulation.
  • IV administration.
  • Managing PICC / Mid / Hickman Lines.
