Experience in water resources or data management would be a real advantage, and proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI will help you hit the ground running. About us You'll be part of a diverse and experienced Water Resources Regulatory Approaches team, that sits within NRW's Evidence, Policy and Permitting Directorate. Our Team's remit includes the development and delivery of internal operational guidance and training resources. The Team also manages the Water Resources Return Service, which records abstraction data to support compliance. What you will do Support the assessment of water resources compliance with relevant legislation, including the collation of information into technical documents that will inform regulatory or place priorities.
Provide technical input to team consultations as required and support NRW representation on external forums. Provide support to investigative programmes. Deliver enhancement projects directly by identifying opportunities, specify works and procure work. Coordinate with contractors to ensure effective delivery of agreed services. Support a resilient NRW Incident Management Service that follows NRW process. Your qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills In your application and interview you will be asked to demonstrate the following skills and experience using the STAR method. A working knowledge of water resources, environment management, agriculture, fisheries, conservation or biodiversity. An understanding of the sustainable management of natural resources.
Strong and effective self-management and organisational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and partners; explaining issues and gaining support by influencing. Ability to work well as part of a team. Welsh Language level requirements Essential:
