Financial Controller

An experienced
Financial Controller is required on a contract basis to support global accounting operations during a key period of transformation. The contractor will take ownership of core accounting processes, support financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions, and provide leadership to a small accounting team.

This role requires someone who can quickly embed into an organisation, operate hands‑on across operational accounting activities, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• £60k – £70k salary (pro‑rata)

  • 1 office day and 4 days from home

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple international entities.
• Manage and review month‑end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and multi‑entity reporting processes.
• Lead and coordinate statutory audits and work closely with external auditors.
• Oversee global cash flow monitoring and support short‑ and long‑term cash forecasting.
• Provide financial reporting and insight to senior finance leadership.
• Manage and support a small team of accounting professionals while driving process improvements.

• Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Experience in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation accounting.
• Experience managing statutory audits and multi‑entity environments.
