We’re recruiting an Accounts Technician to join a dynamic and supportive Finance team. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone with experience in day‑to‑day finance operations who is keen to develop their skills in a varied and fast‑paced environment. You will contribute to accurate financial reporting, maintain key records, and support the smooth running of the department across our UK and Irish entities.

About You
  • Experience in accounts preparation and bookkeeping, with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with accounting principles and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software (we currently use Sage)
  • Appropriate qualification is a bonus (Part‑qualified / QBE / IATI), but experience is more important
  • Excellent organisational skills and team‑focused mindset
About Your New Role Always
  • Support the Finance team with day‑to‑day operations, including transaction processing and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate customer and supplier ledgers
  • Deliver monthly management accounts, including P+L analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare VAT returns and maintain Fixed Asset registers
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues and internal stakeholders
Often
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and gather information
  • Assist with year‑end file preparation and reporting
  • Contribute to team discussions around workflow, processes, and improvements
  • Support colleagues across UK and Irish entities
Occasionally
  • Assist with ad hoc projects or special finance assignments
  • Attend internal or client‑facing meetings alongside senior team members
Never
  • Juggle flaming spreadsheets while blindfolded
