Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant Newtownabbey (BT36) Salary Negotiable DOE We are pleased to be working on behalf of a client with an immediate need for an experienced Assistant Accountant who can join their team within one of Europe's leading suppliers of logistical services.

Main Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly journals. Maintaining Accruals & Prepayment schedules. Daily bank reconciliations for four group companies. Assist with the administration of weekly and monthly payment runs. Assisting in the preparation of monthly & quarterly P&L and variance analysis. Day to day management of the group expenses system. Assisting in monthly reconciliations and month end closure. Assisting in processing and posting supplier invoices.

Other Finance / Admin duties as required. Eligibility criteria:
Recent experience working as part of a busy accounts team. Practical knowledge of computerised accounts packages. Strong IT Skills - with a high level of expertise in use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and workload. Strong planning and organising skills. Good numeracy and time management skills. Excellent attention detail.
