Accounts Assistant

Hayward Hawk are delighted to be working once again with our client to help recruit for a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support key financial activities, including customer account management and supplier invoice handling. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our finance team and will play a part in supporting the financial health and strategic growth of the organisation.

What you'll do Oversee the end-to-end process of customer billing and debt collection, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding accounts Manage supplier interactions, including logging incoming invoices, reconciling statements, and addressing discrepancies Coordinate and execute scheduled payment batches in line with company policies Support the monitoring of daily cash flow and assist with reconciliation of banking transactions Contribute to the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting Perform ad hoc financial duties and administrative support as directed by the finance leadership team What you'll need At least 12 months' experience in a finance support role, ideally within a transactional accounting position Competence with Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with data effectively Confident communicator with professional telephone skills, able to manage both client and supplier interactions Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving business environment What you'll get Great office culture/working environment Company pension On-site parking Flexi time No weekends Hear more?
