Accounts Manager

A long-established, family-owned business based in Belfast is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of the finance function and lead a small accounts team. This is a pivotal role within a highly regarded, multi-entity organisation operating across several closely related companies. Although the group structure includes multiple entities, it is well established and uncomplicated, providing a stable and well-run accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities Production of monthly management accounts across the group Day-to-day oversight of purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll Cashflow monitoring, management and forecasting Preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring statutory compliance Year-end accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning Driving continuous improvement in finance processes and internal controls Supervising, mentoring and developing a small accounts team
