Finance Manager

Are you a qualified finance professional with a strong commitment to public accountability and effective governance? We are delighted to be partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit a Finance Manager, offering the opportunity to play a key role in leading financial management, strengthening governance frameworks and supporting strategic decision-making.

The role:

Lead the Finance and Governance teams, managing day-to-day operations and staff performance Ensure effective financial control, governance and compliance with public sector regulations Oversee budgeting, cashflow management and funded programme expenditure Prepare annual accounts and monthly financial reports, supporting audit and Audit & Risk Committee processes Manage procurement, business cases, grant verification and fraud control procedures Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership and key stakeholders Contribute to corporate planning, risk management and continuous organisational improvement

The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
Fully qualified member of a recognised professional accountancy body (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent) Demonstrated experience ensuring strong corporate governance and financial compliance Proven ability to prepare statutory financial statements and management accounts to strict deadlines Experience managing and monitoring budgets exceeding £500k annually Skilled in liaising with auditors and implementing audit recommendations Experience leading, managing and motivating staff Full UK driving licence with access to transport (reasonable adjustments considered where applicable) What's in it for you?:
