Inclusion IQ are working with our client as they seek to appoint a commercially minded and experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The RoleAs an Assistant Accountant, you will be at the heart of the finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. You will work closely with the management team to produce insightful reports that drive the business forward.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting:
Gathering data and producing comprehensive reports to support commercial decision-making, including sales reports, KPIs and financial forecasts. - Reconciliations:
Managing bank and account reconciliations with precision - Month-End Support:
Playing an active and hands‑on role in supporting month‑end procedures and ensuring deadlines are met. - Data Management:
Daily use of advanced Excel skills to manage complex tables and streamline reporting processes. - System Oversight:
Working within Sage 200 to maintain accurate financial records.
We are looking for a professional who is either Part-Qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or a highly experienced Accounts Assistant capable of working up to Trial Balance. To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role. - Technical Excellence:
You must have a strong, advanced working knowledge of Excel, with a proven ability to create sophisticated reports and tables. Familiarity with Sage 200 is highly desirable. - Efficiency:
The ability to work effectively in a busy, quick-moving environment while managing a varied and demanding workload. - Commercial Mindset: A proactive approach to figures and an understanding of how your work impacts the wider business.
