VANRATH are delighted to be working with a successful business who operate within the construction sector, they are a local organisation who are well renowned within their market space. The business currently requires the support of an experienced Management Accountant, who can come in and hit the ground running.

The Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will assist the finance team with the preparation and submission of monthly management accounts, including budgeting & forecasting, variance analysis and presenting financial results.

Initially this role is set to be a contract position, however, based on business levels and performance, there is the possibility this could be extended, or made permanent for the successful individual.

About you

• Part or Fully Qualified Accountant, or QBE
• Experience in the preparation of both management and year end accounts
• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
• Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong IT skills, particularly with MS Excel

What you'll do

• Produce management reports and variance analysis
• Budgetary control, working closely with budget holders
• Support business case preparation where required
• Enhance current systems and implement new systems as required
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Journal preparation and posting
• General ledger reconciliations
