Accounts Manager

A long-established, family-owned business based in Belfast is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of the finance function and lead a small accounts team.

This is a pivotal role within a highly regarded, multi-entity organisation operating across several closely related companies. Although the group structure includes multiple entities, it is well established and uncomplicated, providing a stable and well-run accounting environment.

• Salary negotiable depending on experience

• Production of monthly management accounts across the group
• Day-to-day oversight of purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
• Cashflow monitoring, management and forecasting
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensuring statutory compliance
• Year-end accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Driving continuous improvement in finance processes and internal controls
• Supervising, mentoring and developing a small accounts team

• 8+ years’ experience in an accounts or finance role (part-qualified or qualified by experience)
• Proven experience managing accounts
• Confident leading or supervising a small team
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, well organised and comfortable working in a family-owned business setting
