Management Accountant (4-day week/Belfast)

VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative award-winning business to recruit a Management Accountant to join the growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity in the NI market offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work a 4-day week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management of the general ledger.
• Monitor and improve the financial systems and procedures.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain effective financial controls across invoicing, purchasing, credit control and financial reporting.
• Manage, monitor and review all financial accounts and activity, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Advise senior leadership on any financial decisions and implications, ensuring growth and profitability for the business
• Assist any reporting, auditing in a timely manner.
• Assist any financial runs, month-end and year end closing process.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
  * Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance.
• Mentor and manage accounting employees, participating in any meetings, where required.
• Work closely with the Group Financial Controller and implement any business projects, strategy or plans as required.

The Person:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) ideally with 1 year PQE
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, experience using SAGE
