Business Lead Analyst

Business Lead Analyst working as part of Markets FO CDE Triage team, to help Markets manage changes to the FO CDE in line with regulatory interpretations and Model Governance. Responsible for managing the review, prioritization and approval of all Front Office (FO) Critical Data Element (CDE) changes, including all senior reporting and escalations.

Within Counter party Trading & Risk (CTR), the Markets Capital Advancement team is the central team that drives and oversees execution and management of capital initiatives. The XVA trading desk (part of Counter party Trading and Risk) is responsible for the pricing and subsequent risk management of derivatives trades including the use of credit, funding and capital. As part of both teams’ mandate to facilitate business and manage return on capital, the desks need Front Office staff focused specifically on capital for Markets.

This role, within COO, will support the broader CTR team in ensuring the FO CDEs are in compliance with the enterprise-wide data policies.

• Manage the review, prioritization and approval of all Front Office (FO) Critical Data Element (CDE) changes
• Maintain Operating Model(s) / Procedure(s) in line with any data governance policy requirements
• JIRA Dashboard Maintenance / Creation of New Change Request Forms per requests from Business / Finance / MQA
• Coordination and prioritization of work based on stakeholder guidance
• Capital Implementation Guidance (CIG) Memo documentation and governance support, coordination and tracking
• Design, implementation and documentation of BAU Controls
• Lead working groups with Business, Quant, Finance and Technology stakeholders to develop and deliver solutions to complex problems
• Provide data analysis to product desks and other partners
• Drive improvements on underlying dataset: partner with MQA & IT to integrate into dataset
• Review and compare FO version with official capital calculations, help with strategic system state

• Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to engage, inform and persuade stakeholders through discussion, presentations and use of data.
• Ability to understand new complex concepts quickly, willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
• Experience working with data analytics on large datasets, ideally within financial Markets
• Proven ability analysing business needs, building visualisations, and tracking down complex data quality and integration issues.
• Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of calculations & system design

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
