Your new role As a Credit Controller, you will take ownership of a varied debtor ledger, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the end‑to‑end credit control process for a portfolio of accounts. Chasing overdue payments via phone and email in a professional, customer‑focused manner. Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts. Investigating and resolving queries promptly to prevent delays in payment. Reviewing credit limits and assessing customer creditworthiness. Producing aged debt reports and supporting month‑end processes. Working closely with the wider finance team and operational departments to minimise risk and improve cashflow.
This is a hands‑on, proactive role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and making a measurable impact on debtor performance. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage conversations confidently. High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy. Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑moving environment.
Experience using finance systems and Excel (pivot tables, lookups are advantageous). A proactive approach to resolving queries and improving processes.
