Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead and support the Accounts Administrator, ensuring high performance and accuracy across all finance tasks. Oversee daily finance operations including sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit control. Ensure internal finance procedures are followed and continuously improved. Manage and improve the full credit control cycle, including customer onboarding, credit limits, and aged debtor monitoring. Produce credit note analysis and ensure correct control and authorisation of credit notes.
Drive debtor day targets. Resolve customer queries promptly to support timely payments. Oversee customer receipts, allocation of payments, and sales ledger housekeeping. Ensure accuracy of delivery notes, pick notes, and filing requirements. Deliver accurate month-end accounts within 5 working days. Produce monthly management accounts, departmental reporting, and financial analysis. Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor cash position on a regular basis.
Support budgeting, expense management, and financial planning. Provide working capital insights and process improvement recommendations. Maintain strong internal financial controls and documentation. Oversee employee expenses, budgets, and approvals. Ensure financial system accuracy, data integrity and housekeeping. Lead system and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria : A minimum of 3 years previous experience as a Finance Manager in a high volume-based business. Ability to manage own work plan and meet pre agreed deadlines. Demonstrate a high level of skill in the use of excel spreadsheets. The ability to provide good customer service and resolve concerns and complaints from customers. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word & Excel.
The ability to handle daily deadlines within a volume-based environment.
