Overview
A government department in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Head of Finance to lead their finance function. The role provides an opportunity to influence strategic financial decisions alongside senior management. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with extensive experience in UK Government finance and hands-on leadership capabilities. Responsibilities- Oversee financial management, including financial planning, reporting and control.
- Prepare annual accounts in line with relevant government accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance requirements.
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in UK Government finance.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
