The business has experienced growth and offers opportunities for professional development and exposure to a broad range of finance functions. About the Job Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties:
Processing purchase ledger and ensuring supplier invoices are correctly recorded and paid on time Managing sales ledger, issuing invoices and following up on outstanding payments Performing regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate records Preparing VAT returns for submission in line with legislation Supporting month-end procedures and financial reporting Assisting with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required Collaborating with colleagues across finance and wider business teams to maintain compliance and operational efficiency Skills and Experience Previous experience in a finance role, ideally covering purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and VAT Proficient in accounting software (experience with Sage advantageous) Strong Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUP and basic reporting Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively For further information on this opportunity or to discuss the next step in your career, get in touch with Ollie Mairs HireIQ in complete confidence.
