Belfast city centre / Hybrid £35k plus Newly created role Hands on end to end Management Accounting This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing finance team within a professional, customer
-focused organisation operating in a fast-paced environment. The role offers excellent exposure across reporting, analysis, and core accounting processes, making it particularly suited to a strong part-qualified / finalist level candidate or experienced Accounting Technician looking to broaden their skillset.

The Role As Assistant Accountant, you will support the delivery of accurate month-end reporting while also contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. Working closely with senior finance colleagues, you will gain exposure to both technical accounting and commercial finance activities. This position provides a strong development platform within a supportive and collaborative finance function.

Key Responsibilities Month-End & Financial Reporting Support the preparation of monthly management accounts Post journals, accruals, and prepayments Assist with balance sheet reconciliations Prepare variance analysis and supporting schedules Transactional Finance Oversight Review accounts receivable and accounts payable postings for accuracy Assist with aged debt reviews and cash allocation Support improvements to billing, invoicing, and payment processes Controls, Compliance & Development Maintain clear audit trails and supporting documentation Assist with finance controls and reconciliations Gain exposure to wider commercial and operational finance activities as the business grows The Individual We are looking for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and keen to develop their finance career within a commercial setting.

You will be comfortable working with numbers, confident using Excel, and capable of managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Skills & Experience Essential One of the following:
Newly qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA Strong part-qualified candidate with relevant experience Qualified Accounting Technician (e.g. AAT) Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail
