Assistant Accountant

Artemis Human Capital is pleased to be working exclusively with our client to appoint an Assistant Accountant . This is an excellent role for someone who is developing their finance career and wants to gain well-rounded experience within a supportive and growing business environment. The successful candidate will join a collaborative finance team and take on a broad mix of responsibilities spanning transactional finance, month-end support, reporting, and ongoing improvement work.

Its a great step for someone who enjoys variety and is keen to build confidence across core accounting areas.

The Role As Assistant Accountant, you will play an important part in the smooth running of the finance function. Youll assist with maintaining accurate ledgers, preparing management information, and supporting two entities across the UK and Ireland. Youll work closely with senior finance colleagues, gaining valuable exposure to month-end duties while still overseeing key day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations including bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance Assist with management accounts preparation, including P&L reviews and balance sheet reconciliations Contribute to the preparation of VAT submissions Maintain and update fixed asset registers Provide support across wider finance tasks and assist with process improvements Help ensure accurate, timely financial data for internal reporting

The Person Were looking for someone who is motivated, numerate, and ready to take ownership of their workload. Youll have experience in accounting duties, enjoy working with data, and be comfortable handling both routine tasks and month-end support work. A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn will be key to success in this role. Skills & Experience
