We are hiring for our client, a highly regarded professional services firm
, to appoint a Financial Accountant on a temporary contract (6–9 months). This Financial Accountant opportunity is based in Belfast and offers hybrid working following an initial onboarding period.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified

Accountant making a first move from practice, or for a Financial Accountant seeking a fresh challenge within a professional, fast-paced environment. With an immediate start available
, the successful Financial Accountant will play a key role supporting financial reporting, controls and month-end processes.

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations

• Preparation of management accounts and financial reports

• Supporting statutory accounts preparation and audit processes

• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

• Assisting with process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects

• Working closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business

• ACA qualified

• Experience gained within accountancy practice or a similar professional environment

• Strong technical accounting knowledge

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

• Competitive day rate / salary (dependent on experience)

• 6–9 month temporary contract
