Finance Manager Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead a small finance team and take full ownership of financial reporting, controls, and process optimisation across the business. You will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial performance, and ensuring robust governance as the business continues to grow.
This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, complex financial operations, and systems development, making it an excellent opportunity for a proven finance professional seeking responsibility, influence, and career progression.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all transactional finance functions for Northside Graphics and associated companies
Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and cash controls in a dynamic trading environment
Deliver accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements in line with strict reporting deadlines
Maintain a robust and effective credit control function
Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of the Sage Intacct accounting system
Support the Finance Director in developing insightful management reporting using Sage Intacct and Power BI
Ensure full compliance with all tax obligations, filings, and payments
Prepare comprehensive audit files and act as the primary liaison with external auditors
Embed and uphold a strong culture of financial control, accountability, and compliance
Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team, ensuring high performance under pressure
Undertake additional finance-related responsibilities as required
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Significant post-qualification experience in a senior finance role
Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Advanced Excel and strong overall IT capability
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with Sage accounting software and Power BI
Background in manufacturing environments, including product costing
Involvement in major systems implementation or finance transformation projects
Experience with Opera, Accura, or similar ERP systems
Strong technical accounting and financial analysis capability
Confident communicator at all levels of the business
Proven people management and team leadership skills
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working to tight deadlines
Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach
