Our client is a respected division of a large publicly listed group, with a well-established presence in Belfast. The business operates in a fast-paced industry and is known for its collaborative team culture and opportunities for progression.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Payroll professional to join a dynamic finance function in a key leadership role. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Payroll Manager will take full ownership of payroll operations, managing a direct team of 3 within a wider finance team of c.20. The company offers strong support structures, scope to improve systems, and the chance to be part of a high-performing finance team in a leading Plc.

This role will suit candidates with:

• 5+ years’ experience in end-to-end UK payroll
• Experience managing or supervising a payroll team
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
• Familiarity with payroll systems and process improvement

Reporting to the Head of Finance and managing a payroll team of 3, this role sits within a wider finance team of approximately 20 people.

• Team Leadership – Lead and mentor a payroll team of 3
• Payroll Processing – Oversee accurate and timely UK payroll for a large headcount
• Compliance – Ensure full compliance with UK payroll regulations and reporting requirements
• Process Improvement – Identify and implement improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
• Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with internal HR, Finance and external providers
• Systems Oversight – Maintain and optimise payroll software and systems
• Reporting – Deliver payroll reports and analysis to senior finance
• Project Support – Assist the Head of Finance in payroll-related projects and audits
