Finance Business Partner

Location: Belfast

Rate: £19.10 per hour

Hours: 37.5 per week

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team. This is a part-qualified accountant position responsible for delivering financial management and accounting services. You will work closely with Finance Managers and Senior Accountants to provide high-quality financial support and analysis, ensuring effective budgetary control and contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support effective decision-making
  • Assist with annual budget setting and forecasting processes
  • Support customers with financial planning, costings, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and standards
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and attend audit committees as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance services
  • Deliver training and guidance to budget holders and non-financial managers
Essential Criteria
  • Part-qualified accountant (foundation level completed) with one of the six professional bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS, CIMA, ICAI)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting/finance role, including at least 1 year in financial management or management accounts
  • Experience in budgetary reporting and supporting budget holders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly MS Excel, and experience with financial systems
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders
