They are now seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join their Head Office finance team. This is a key role within the business, offering responsibility, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful contribution within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a central role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust financial controls across the business. You'll be hands‑on with the purchase ledger, general ledger, reconciliations, cashflow and month‑end processes
, while also supporting junior team members and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Managing cash books, payments and monthly bank reconciliations
- Overseeing purchase ledger processes, supplier payments and reconciliations
- Maintaining the general ledger, including fixed assets
- Supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and month‑end close
- Preparing weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts
- Assisting with audit preparation and financial reporting
- Supporting and guiding team members within the finance function
You'll be an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
You'll ideally have:- A recognised finance qualification (IATI / part‑qualified accountant or equivalent) or significant hands‑on experience
- At least 2 years' experience in a finance role
- Experience managing or supporting others within a finance team
- Strong purchase ledger and reconciliation experience
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
