Cash Application Specialist

We're looking for a talented Client Account Supervisor to join our clients Belfast office and lead our Cash Accounting Team
. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a critical function, drive process improvements, and play a key role in shaping financial operations across the business.

• Lead and mentor the Cash Accounting team
• Oversee workloads, performance reviews, recruitment, and training
• Drive process improvements and enhance control environments
• Manage client account operations, including:
  • Checking, banking, and posting client/currency/deposit receipts
  • Processing payment requisitions and inter-ledger transfers
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Managing residual balances and liaising with partners
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and AML procedures
  • Support audits (year-end and SRA) and collaborate with international colleagues
  • Work closely with the Financial Systems Team on ERP enhancements (Microsoft Dynamics)

• Strong line management experience and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proven experience in process improvement and change management
• Deep understanding of control environments, Solicitors Accounts Rules, and AML procedures
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively
• Previous experience in a legal firm is an advantage
