Base pay range£45,000.00-£50,000.00 (actual pay based on skills and experience)
About the roleReporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Group Financial Accountant will manage the financial accounting function for Inspire Wellbeing Group. You’ll ensure timely, accurate financial transactions, lead audits, oversee statutory accounts preparation, and drive improvements in financial control processes.
You will also manage and develop a team, fostering a high‑performance culture and supporting Inspire’s mission through strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial transactions
- Complete monthly balance sheet and income/expenditure reconciliations
- Monitor organisational cash flow and produce forecasts
- Lead treasury management, including bank mandates and online banking services
- Oversee HMRC/Revenue returns (VAT, Corporation Tax)
- Manage internal and external audit programmes
- Assist in preparing statutory accounts in line with current accounting standards
- Review and enhance financial control processes
- Maintain financial policies and ensure compliance
- Support selection and implementation of accounting software
- Ensure timely completion of financial returns to external bodies
- Manage, motivate and develop the financial accounting team
- Implement performance management systems and regular supervision
- Act as a role model, promoting innovation and continuous improvement
