Finance Assistant at Oxford Instruments GmbH

Location:

Belfast, GB. This permanent, full-time position is based at our Belfast headquarters with a hybrid working model.

Summary:

Following an internal promotion, we are hiring for a Finance Assistant who will work in the Finance Department reporting into the Accountant. The Finance Assistant will provide support in all areas of management and financial reporting, with emphasis on the production of aspects of the monthly management accounts. This includes timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and key support in the month-end close process.

The Finance Assistant is also responsible for the delivery of Software Licensing to customers. Full training will be provided on all aspects of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support the month-end close process
  • Assist with the production of elements of the monthly management accounts
  • Deliver Software Licensing to customers
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, organisational skills and time management
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues who are based globally as well as locally

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • 1 year experience working in a Finance function
  • Multi-currency experience
  • Experience using a variety of data sources & IT systems
  • Experience of working with customers
