Overview

Due to continued success, our client, a global FMCG leader, has instructed Sonatec to locate a Compliance Specialist to join its Asset Care team
. This is a highly visible and collaborative position responsible for driving engineering compliance across maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations, and internal governance standards.

Working closely with Site Management, Maintenance, and Risk & Governance teams, you will lead the compliance agenda across all engineering documentation, inspections, systems, and process safety.

This is a hybrid consultative and authoritative role
, where your ability to influence and lead without direct control will be essential.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
  • Manage statutory inspection data in SAP and British Engineering Services systems
  • Maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) documentation and audit readiness
  • Drive completion of actions under the Management of Change (MoC) system
  • Coordinate maintenance systems via SAP, EQMS, Enablon and Share Point
  • Maintain Compliance KPIs and Visual Management tools
  • Prepare for HSE, SEPA, GAR, and CARM audits
  • Promote safety culture and serve as a Safety Ambassador
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and engineering standards
  • Participate actively in the Manufacturing Excellence agenda
Essential

Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Strong understanding of SAP and reliability/maintenance data tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Experience
  • 5+ years in a production, service or technical environment
  • Ability to influence across functions and lead process improvements
