Operations Engineering Apprentice Maintenance Technician Role Purpose Throughout the apprenticeship, you will actively contribute to the success of our well-established engineering maintenance team, gaining practical knowledge in electrical and mechanical systems. Enhance your communication and interpersonal skills through regular interactions with technicians, shift leads, asset engineers and third-party customers. Guided by experienced engineering shift leads, you'll tackle real-world challenges, working on diverse equipment like harbour cranes, ferry ramps, pilot boats, HV infrastructure and wastewater pumping stations.

This hands-on experience sets the stage for potential progression into engineering roles and a journey of skills development and professional growth; all whilst achieving a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities Planned Preventative maintenance (PPM'S):
Acquire proficiency in executing scheduled preventative maintenance for all port equipment within a specified deferral period. Corrective maintenance:
Address corrective maintenance tasks identified through PPMs in adherence to established standard operating procedures (SOP'S) Breakdown response:
Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns as needed, ensuring timely and effective resolution and learning from the experience. Effective communication with third party customers to relay information and updates on maintenance and breakdown activities. Attend technical college on a day release basis. Completing assigned tasks and coursework within specified timescales. Follow all Health & Safety and quality standards closely as an apprentice, making sure to fully comply with all relevant guidelines in every aspect of your assigned tasks.

Undertake additional tasks as required and appropriate in an engineering apprentice role. You may also be required to work various shifts based on operational needs.
