This consultancy delivers a wide range of engineering services including:
Structural and civil design of buildings, bridges and infrastructure Ground investigation procurement and foundation design Civil engineering design of external works such as roads, pavings, earthworks, retaining walls, drainage and SUDS Sports pitch design (natural and synthetic) Fire safety strategy and performance-based fire engineering Nonlinear finite element modelling and 3D design using AutoCAD, Revit and Civils 3D Project management, contract management and statutory approvals As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with strong CAD skills to work closely with a team of five engineers on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects. The role & skills required:
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Civil Engineering Technician will provide technical support and be responsible for producing high quality drawings and designs. Duties will include:
Preparing site plans, general arrangements, and construction drawings Detailing foul and storm drainage, roads, pavings and earthworks Assisting Engineers with design calculations and reports Preparing technical drawings using AutoCAD Liaising with Engineers, Architects and Contractors to ensure design coordination Supporting statutory approval and planning application submissions Maintaining drawing registers and ensuring compliance with company standards

Experience and qualifications:

HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum 3+ years experience working in a consulting engineering environment preferable Proficiency in AutoCAD essential Strong technical drawing and detailing skills with attention to accuracy Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines when supporting multiple engineers Good communication and teamwork skills, with confidence to liaise with external stakeholders
